The math

Multiply the hourly wage by hours per week, then by 52.

At 40 hours, that is the wage times 2,080. So $25 an hour is $25 × 2,080 = $52,000 a year.

The quick version: double the hourly wage and add three zeros. $25 an hour is about $50,000. $30 is about $60,000.
