Busy work, or a missing goal?

Write a SMART goal. Type the outcome you want in plain words. Add who it is for and the deadline. You get a SMART goal and a note on how it meets each letter.

Check my goal. Paste a goal you already have. The checker looks for five parts (a measure, a starting point, a target, an owner and a date) and rewrites it with any missing parts as placeholders.

What SMART means

  • Specific. Says exactly what will change.
  • Measurable. Has a number you can look at.
  • Achievable. Realistic with the people and time you have.
  • Relevant. Matters to the bigger goal.
  • Time-bound. Has a date.

Example

Before: "Make onboarding better for new customers."

After: "By September 30, raise the share of new customers who finish setup in their first week from 41% to [target], owned by Priya."

The generator never invents your numbers. If you do not give a starting point or a target, it leaves a placeholder and tells you how to find the value.

Goal or task?

"Write the onboarding guide" is a task. "More customers finish setup" is the goal it serves. If your goal starts with a verb like write, build or launch, the checker will point that out.

Where M-Tracker fits

A SMART goal is only useful if the work connects to it. In M-Tracker you save the goal, link every task to it, and see which goals got the team's time this week. Progress comes from the work, not a status meeting.
