Quality is work that does what was asked, for the person it was for, the first time. The textbook versions say "conformance to requirements" or "fitness for purpose." Same idea, harder words. The useful part is the end: the first time. Work that gets there after three rounds was not quality. It was rework with a good ending.
Why one sentence helps
Teams argue about quality because each person pictures something different. The designer pictures polish. The client pictures the thing they asked for. The manager pictures no complaints. One shared sentence ends the argument: did it do what was asked, for the person it was for, the first time?
The three parts
What was asked. This means the ask has to exist in writing. Most quality problems are really a missing brief.
For the person it was for. A report that impresses your manager and confuses the client is not quality. The audience decides.
The first time. Rework is the hidden cost. Two rounds of changes doubles the price of the work, and the client remembers the rounds, not the ending.
How to check for it
Before the work starts, write three to six checks that someone could answer yes or no. Before it leaves, go through them. That is quality control in its simplest form, and it fits on one page.
Where M-Tracker fits
M-Tracker is built on exactly this sentence. Each task has a brief: what was asked, who it is for, what it must include. When the work is sent, M-Tracker compares it with the brief and writes one plain paragraph: what works, what is missing, what to change. The person sees it first and fixes it before anyone else does. Quality, the first time, checked before it leaves.

Questions people ask
Is quality the same as perfection?
No. Perfection is more than was asked. Quality is exactly what was asked, done right.
Who decides if work has quality?
The person it was for. The brief is their voice before they see it.
Can quality be measured?
Yes. Count the work accepted without changes, divided by the work sent. That is the first-time-right rate.
Work you can trust, without redoing it.
Your team gets feedback before work reaches you, or your client.
