Review work inside Jira

Jira tells you a ticket is Done. M-Tracker tells you whether the work matches the ticket. A private review in the issue panel, for engineering and non-engineering teams.

A ticket moving to Done tells you the status changed. It does not tell you whether the work matches what the ticket asked for. M-Tracker adds a panel to every Jira issue. Add the finished work, press Get instant review, and see what matches and what is missing, before anyone else does.

How it works in Jira

  1. A Jira admin installs the M-Tracker app and connects it to an M-Tracker account or organisation. They choose which projects can use reviews.
  2. Each person connects their own M-Tracker account once, from the panel.
  3. On any issue, open the M-Tracker panel. Add the finished work: paste text, drop files, pick existing Jira attachments (up to three), or paste a supported document link. If the finished work is in the issue description, tick the box.
  4. Press Get instant review. One plain paragraph: what matches the ticket, what is missing, what to change.
  5. Fix the work. Review again if you want. Then move the ticket.

What stays private

The review is saved for the person who requested it, on that issue. It is not posted as a comment. Colleagues do not see it unless the person shares it. There are no public mentions, no bot comments, and no automatic reviews.

Who it is for

  • Engineering teams whose tickets have acceptance criteria and want them checked against the actual pull request description, test notes, or document.
  • Marketing, support, and ops teams who run work in Jira and want the deliverable checked against the ticket, not just the status changed.
  • Managers who want to see fewer tickets reopened.

Supported work

Text, PNG, JPEG, PDF, TXT, Markdown, CSV, DOCX, PPTX, and XLSX files up to 5 MB each. Public Google Docs, Google Drive, and Dropbox links up to 20 MB. Private links are rejected with a clear message; attach the file instead.

Credits

Each review uses one credit from the person's M-Tracker plan, the same credits as in the app. Re-opening a saved review is free. Review again costs one credit. Trials can use their trial credits.

Also: import Jira issues into M-Tracker

Separately from the panel, you can connect Jira to the M-Tracker web app and import the issues assigned to you, so they appear as tasks with timers, goal links, and reviews. How to import. The first release of the panel does not create M-Tracker tasks on its own.

Pricing

Per person, per month: Starter $4 (20 reviews), Pro $8 (100), Enterprise $32 (450). Yearly: $3.50, $7, $29. The Jira app itself is free; it uses your M-Tracker credits.
