Self-evaluation generator
List what you delivered. Get a self-review that is honest, specific and easy for your manager to use.
How to use it
- List what you delivered this period. Projects, results, numbers. Add what went well and what you would do differently.
- Give your role and the review period.
- Add anything your manager asked you to cover.
- Press Write my self-evaluation. Edit it so it sounds like you.
What a strong self-evaluation has
- Results with numbers. "Cut onboarding emails from 9 to 5, and setup completion rose from 41% to 55%."
- How you did it. One line on the approach, so the result is clearly yours.
- One honest growth area. Pick something real, and say what you are doing about it.
- Goals for next period. Two or three, tied to the team's goals.
Avoid these
- Only adjectives. "Hard-working and dedicated" says nothing. Show it with a result.
- Hiding mistakes. Your manager probably knows. Owning one, with what you learned, builds trust.
- Starting the night before. Keep a short list of wins each month. Self-reviews take ten minutes when you have notes.
